The Golden State Warriors rode strong performances from Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant to obliterate Sacramento 122-94 in Seattle. Despite missing Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors jumped out to a 26-7 margin and led by as many as 41 in the third quarter.
Golden State’s offense looked particularly sharp, scoring 74 of its 122 points in the first half. Thompson and Durant combined for 42 points and six 3-pointers in this segment alone. The Warriors shot a blistering 47-of-91 for the game (51.6 percent), draining 11 3-pointers.
The Dubs tallied 21 assists by halftime.
Defensively, Golden State held the Kings to 94 points on 34.7 percent shooting. Apart from Willie Cauley-Stein (10 points), none of Sacramento’s starters reached double-figures.
